Synopsis:
Kerry, Helen and Saima, along with thousands of medics in the UK, are graduating into a pandemic where their skills are needed more desperately than ever before. During phone interviews over the course of several months, from when the pandemic was just beginning to the peak of the UK’s outbreak, these three medical students discussed the impact of Covid-19 on their professional, academic and personal lives. They talk about their frustration with the UK’s National Health Service as it is stretched to its limits, their fear as they realise the limits of their own power as doctors, and their hope and optimism that they can make a difference.
